Supports UTF-8 and Base64URL. Base64 is an encoding, not encryption.
Convert text to Base64 and back
Select Text → Base64 to encode UTF-8 text, or Base64 → Text to decode it. Base64URL uses characters suitable for URLs. Devkit preserves accented characters and emoji, rejects malformed input, and reports when decoded bytes are not valid UTF-8 text.
Does Base64 protect sensitive information?
No. Base64 is a reversible encoding that does not require a key. It is not encryption, and anyone with the encoded string can decode it.
What is the difference between Base64 and Base64URL?
Base64URL replaces + and / with - and _. Trailing padding is often omitted. Select that variant for strings that use its alphabet.
